Important Message to Teachers and Parents:

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for a very smooth opening last Sunday.  It was a busy day with the longer service and students still registering, but everyone did a great job.  Almost all of our students are now registered and we will be on our regular church and classroom schedule tomorrow, so you should have plenty of time to begin regular lessons with your students.

 We know there were some questions regarding Fr. Dean’s remarks about starting earlier this year.   We spoke with him regarding this and he will be starting earlier each Sunday, which will allow us to end a little earlier.  He anticipates that the 2^nd- 9^th graders will be going up for the Divine Liturgy by 10:10a.m. every Sunday.  He would like for Sunday School students to be in their classrooms at 9:50a.m. and we will then be dismissing  students at 12:00p.m. (instead of 12:15p.m.), since we should be getting back to our classrooms much sooner now (after Holy Communion).   The 2^nd-6^th graders will once again meet in Room 204 at 9:50a.m. and go over the Bible Lesson with Mike Boyeas, before going up to church.  All other grade levels will report to their own classrooms at 9:50a.m.

 Our first Sunday School Staff meeting will be Sunday, October 9^th at 12:00p.m.  It is very important that everyone attend this meeting.  Fr. Dean will be discussing with us  the Sunday School staff’s role in the 100th year Anniversary Celebration of our Mother Church.  Sunday School will be hosting the very first event of the 100 years’ celebration, which will be on Feb. 19, 2012 and will include Godparents’ Sunday as well as a Sunday School teachers’ and students’ reunion celebration.
