PARISH COUNCIL ELECTIONS
November 1 Last Day to receive Nominations for Candidaticy
October 26 Absolute Deadline for requesting an Absentee Ballot
December 8 Must have absentee Ballot in Church office by 3:00p.m.
December 10 Parish Council Elections following Divine Liturgy till 2:00 p.m.
Our parish needs many different people with a wide range of abilities. You don’t have to be “an expert" or “the best.” Just get involved and share yourself and your gifts with others. Your gifts of talent can make a difference.
Purpose: The Parish Council, with the guidance of the Priest, is the body that manages and oversees all operations of our Church and Parish Community. Its duties include: administering the Parish's operating procedures, business concerns, and fund-raising activities.
Meetings: Every second Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the lower level of the church social hall.

In order to be eligible to serve as a member of the Annunciation Parish Council, you must meet the following guidelines and criteria as established by the Church and our Holy Archdiocese:
SPIRITUALLY: You must be a Baptized and/or Chrismated follower in the Orthodox Faith and attend divine services regularly throughout the year; receive the Sacraments; uphold the teachings and Holy Traditions of the Church.
CANONICALLY: You must have no ecclesiatical impediments against you, for example:
You must be married within the Orthodox Church
If divorced, you must have received an Ecclesiastical Divorce through the Church
RESPONSIBLY: You must be current, active, communing and contributing Stewards of the Annunciation; and have submitted a Stewardship Pledge Card.
As a member of the Annunciation Parish Council, you must faithfully and regularly:
Attend Sunday worship and other church services throughout the year
Received the Sacrament of Holy Communion, Holy Unction and Confession; Attend regular monthly Parish Council meetings and serve on assigned committees (meeting within the committee as to be determined)
Dutifully perform the assigned or volunteered tasks in support of theministries, spiritual and physical growth of our local, Metropolis and Archdiocesan Church.
